Welcome Sisters

This is our own Relief Society site for our ward. It is a in an effort to bring us closer together. It is another way to feel a part and be connected. This is like another newsletter. I hope you find it encouraging and supportive in our sisterhood. Enjoy!!
This is not an official web site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or of the general Relief Society.

Helping others

In an effort to get on board with Pursuit of Excellence and fulfill the requirement to help someone else with their goals, I'm offering to teach people how to can their own fruits and vegetables. I can also teach how to make strawberry and blueberry jam. I suppose this will have to wait till the summer and fall (when canning season is in full swing) --Amy Henderson

Pursuit of Excellence

Sisters!

Please join me in participating in the Pursuit of Excellence program! If you haven't got a booklet, please contact Sis. Martines. The booklet has the instructions for accomplishing it and it gives you plenty of ideas for your goals. You can make goals to suit your needs.

The instructions are to:
1. Accomplish at least 4 goals in each of the 10 areas; 2. Have 100% Visiting Teaching for 9 of the 12 months; 3. Attend the temple 3 times this year; 4. Go to the cannery as a service project and 5. Assist at least one other sister in RS in accomplishing one of her goals.

The 10 areas are:

* Spirituality
* Personal Improvement
* Relationships
* Home Management
* Education
* Service
* Physical/Nutrition
* Family
* Family History
* Missionary

Read through the book and make a list of your goals. You can do something that you are already doing and count it. The point is to make progress in all areas of our lives.

I would love to have your stories of how the Pursuit of Excellence is helping you in your life. Please send me a letter or an email and I will publish it. I can do it anonymously if you prefer. We want this to be a way to encourage the other sisters. My email address is: jean.edward@gmail.com
