Welcome Sisters

This is our own Relief Society site for our ward. It is a in an effort to bring us closer together. It is another way to feel a part and be connected. This is like another newsletter. I hope you find it encouraging and supportive in our sisterhood. Enjoy!!
This is not an official web site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or of the general Relief Society.

White bread

Our April weekday meeting went great! Thanks to all who helped and who came. As promised here's a white bread recipe (from the ward cookbook) for those that may need one for making sacrament bread in the future:

Scald 1/2 c. milk with 3 Tbs. butter. Let cool. Proof 1 Tbs. yeast with 3 Tbs. sugar and 2 tsp. salt in 1 1/2 c. warm water. Add 5-6 c. flour and mix until smooth. Shape into 2 loaves, place in greased bread pans, cover, and let rise. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. This recipe doubles well.

Here's the wheat bread recipe from our teacher Tracie Callihan:

Quilting for LDS Humanitarian Services

There is a new interest group that will being meeting in a couple of weeks. Manuela Hudson is organizing a QUILTING FOR CHURCH HUMANITARIAN SERVICES group. Any who are interested in participating occasionally or regularly please contact Manuela to get on the contact list. What a great cause to be putting our skills towards. Learners also welcome! As you may know interest groups are not put on by the relief society but by members of the RS. We will announce interest groups through email, newsletter, and blog. Anyone interested in leading a one-time or regular interest group, please contact Christina Watson. It is a great opportunity to get together and build sisterhood.
